Who am I?
My name is Thomas Moussy, I’m French, born in 1981 and HW/SW development engineer for the Automotive and Aeronautic industry.
I’m currently living in south Germany and one of my greatest passion is kayaking a little everywhere since around 10 years. I also eventually (rarely) take part to regional competitions (flat water, marathon, sea marathon…).
Why I would like to create a new boat?
There are different reasons:
The first one is that I regularly train on a similar kind of kayak, the Bug (which I took as an example for this project) and take part to different competitions here and there (Germany, France, Ukraine). I noticed that the Bug, despite its qualities is not as fast as recent boats, event for long distances. I would like to take this concept again and propose a very fast but simultaneously easy boat, thing which is difficult to find at the moment.
The second is that I’m engineer and like engagement and challenge. I believe that this project can become something good and it’s really stimulating for me.
The third thing is that I really see a potential for this boat. for example, the French federation might launch soon a new senior liga for long distance and this boat can be especially efficient in this category. This kind of boat is also very pleasant for many people, looking for a fast boat but without the problem of stability, especially on big lakes, sea or river with light stream.
